Thought you might like to see what I have been doing in the last little while - these are small cards that I have designed, to give advance notice of a family wedding next year and I have really enjoyed making them as elegant and as beautiful as possible.
It seems to me that taking great care over something which is a labour of love, is not only good for the soul, but immensely satisfying. It's also a delight to work with really good materials - card, washi, ribbon etc.
I am really pleased with the end result, as is the bride to be. What do you think?

CREATIVE CARDS
Good news! There are lovely new cards on sale in my Etsy shop as of today.
I have been making greetings cards for family and friends now for a number of years but this is the first time I have made them publicly available. Hope you like them! Here is a slide show of some of my personal favourites.
Since I am interested in the elements of japanese style, I try to design the cards in such a way that they reflect some of the zen ideas of beauty, such a asymmetry, simplicity and subtlety. Many of them also reference nature and the seasons.
Naturally, the beauty of the japanese papers speaks for itself - the shading and translucence, the textures and patterns. I hope you find these cards speak to you and that they may convey your personal messages.
