As you can no doubt tell, I am a fan of this particular french bi-monthly magazine - Art & Metiers du Livre. And today whilst I was in the town of Aix en Provence, buying some goodies at the market, I was very happy to find the new issue in the newagents.
Since many French magazines are not well-known in the English-speaking world, I thought I would just bring it to your attention. I am unable to show you any of the inside pages for copyright reasons, but I can tell you, that even if you do not speak too much French, it is worthwhile buying it for the good quality images, which I always enjoy feasting my eyes on, and luckily there are lots of them.
As you can see, even the covers are often quite spectacular. The articles cover just about everything booklovers and bookbinders would be interesting in - exhibitions, libraries and collections, fine bindings, artists books, fairs and sales of old books, courses, sale of materials etc etc. Even the ads are interesting.
If you do invest in a copy - enjoy !(bon lecture!) Anyway, I'm off to read some more of my new copy.
